Uma menininha, na Feira de Ciência de sua escola, fez a seguinte experiência (que podemos facilmente repetir, devido à sua simplicidade): em dois vasos idênticos plantou duas plantas praticamente idênticas, em solos idênticos [vide http://www.execonn.com/sf/ ]. Essas plantas foram regadas pela mesma água filtrada, proveniente da torneira. Essa água filtrada foi dividida em duas partes: uma foi aquecida no forno de um fogão convencional, até chegar à ebulição. A outra foi aquecida em um forno de microondas, até chegar, também, à ebulição. Ambas foram deixadas esfriar até atingir a temperatura ambiente, antes de regar os dois vasos, com a mesma quantidade de água. O vaso regado apenas com a água que passou pelo aquecimento em fogão convencional, manteve as plantas belas e viçosas após 9 dias. O vaso regado apenas com água que passou pelo aquecimento em forno de microondas, matou as plantas em 9 dias (conforme pode ser observado nas fotos do artigo original, apresentado abaixo). Se uma água não consegue manter vivo um ser vivente (planta), é melhor você não ingerí-la, pois ela poderá te matar a longo prazo.

Você ainda vai continuar a preparar seu chá e sua comida [cujo cozimento é devido ao aquecimento das moléculas de água presente no alimento em cozimento] em um forno de microondas? Faça esta experiência simples, para se convencer do malefício da água que passou por um forno de microondas. Garanto que o Massaru Emoto [vide postagem de 22.abril.2005, intitulada "Água cura tudo - 12", neste blog] não conseguiria fotografar um único agregado belo (de forma geral hexagonal) de moléculas de água, nessa água que passou por esse tipo de forno...

PS: A água fervida no forno de microondas, comentada acima, deve ficar igual à da foto "água destilada" do Masaru Emoto, mostrada na postagem citada acima. Como pode ser visto, é uma má agregação das moléculas deste tipo de água, sem aproximar-se do formato de cristais hexagonais.

Below is a science fair project that my granddaughter did for 2006. In it she took filtered water and divided it into two parts. The first part she heated to boiling in a pan on the stove, and the second part she heated to boiling in a microwave. Then after cooling she used the water to water two identical plants to see if there would be any difference in the growth between the normal boiled water and the water boiled in a microwave. She was thinking that the structure or energy of the water may be compromised by microwave. As it turned out, even she was amazed at the difference.

Followup. We have seen a number of comments on this, such as what was the water in the microwave boiled in. The thinking is that maybe some leaching took place if it was in plastic. It was boiled in a plastic cup, so this could be a possibility. Also it was not a double blind experiment, so she knew which was which when watering them. On top of that she was wanting the microwaved ones to do poorly, and although most scientists would dismiss the idea, it is possible that her thoughts toward each plant had an effect as well. Bottom line is, the results are intersting, and duplicate the results that others have reported (try Googling '"microwaved water" plants') more experiments need to be done with better controls and as a double blind study. But this was a simple 6th grade science fair project, and was never intended to be anything more than that.

The plants were genetically identical, they were produced from graphs from the same parent plant, so that variable can be eliminated.
